![]() In 2005, LogiCom was contracted to manage the Partnership for Prescription Assistance “Help is Here” Bus Tour for the Pharmaceutical Manufactures of America (PhRMA). The tour officially kicked off in the nation’s capital on May 4, 2005 and visited all 50 states over a 4-yr. period of touring the country, ending December 2009.
Although the bus tour has now concluded, The Partnership for Prescription Assistance program itself is continuing to help people without prescription coverage obtain the medications they need. Through the PPA, over 6 million Americans thus far have been able to receive their prescription drugs for free or nearly free.

The hugely successful tour has been extended throughout 2006 and with a second bus now on the road, we will visit all 50 states between January and June of 2006. UPDATE: June 1, 2006 Having joined the PPA's efforts as national spokesman for the tour in January, Montel Williams (TV host, author, actor, activist) makes regular appearances nationwide on behalf of the ongoing project in addition to having filmed a number of television commercials for the PPA. The PPA “Help is Here” Bus Tour closed their 2006 campaign with a two-bus event featuring Montel Williams in Nashville, TN today. The gathering marked the 630th city visited by the PPA tour in 2006. During this past year, more than $5.1 billion worth of medicines were provided to more than 2.5 million people through the Partnership. Plans for the PPA 2007 bus tour have been confirmed and both buses will once again be rolling all across America continuing to bring prescription assistance to those who need it most.
LogiCom is pleased indeed to serve in a continuing managerial role for this worthwhile endeavor.
UPDATE: June 12, 2007
The PPA Bus Tour continues to roll. In the past 25 months, the two big orange buses have traveled more than 200,000 miles (the equivalent of eight times around the globe) and visited more than 1,500 cities. The program has provided almost $10 billion worth of medicine to nearly 4 million people. Neither the partnership nor the bus tour shows any signs of slowing down as, on average, each bus visits 10 towns per week. LogiCom continues to be very proud of our association with this very worthwhile project. The tour, which is slated to run through December of 2007 continues to bring much needed assistance to those who cannot afford to pay for their prescription medicines.
On April 6th, 2009, the PPA celebrated it's 4th anniversary at an event in Galesburg, IL with Jerry Mathers, of television's "Leave it to Beaver" fame who is diabetic and serves as one of PPA's celebrity spokesmen.
The program has helped more than 5.7 million people since its introduction. With over 500,000 miles driven in all 50 states and an astounding number of patients being matched with programs to pay for their prescription medications, the PPA should cross the milestone of having helped 6 million people later this summer.
LogiCom is honored to play even a small role in this worthwhile endeavor, and continues to manage the nationwide bus tour on the PPA's behalf.
On October 22nd, The Partnership for Prescription Assistance reached the milestone of helping the 6 Millionth patient in the four years since the program's launch.
